may be your software be out dated.. so update it…
go to device manager and right click on the sound driver and click update…
may work

I am planning to buy a laptop computer. I am looking for something equivalent to the XPS M1710 Dual Core 2.33 Hz with 4m buff with 4GiG ram and 512mb graphics. I looked everywhere for something equivalent to this and found none. Most of them were with average specs. I really need to buy quickly!! I don’t want to buy the XPS if I can get the same specs from somewhere else. Also, can you custom build laptops with the above specs to a 12” or a13” laptops?
Please someone help!!!! This is very urgent!!!

I would strongly reccommend NOT getting the XPS. I’m a DCSE certified dell tech and I have never liked those things. Anyway, for the best laptop for graphics design, as much as I hate to say it I’d go with a MAC powerbook, I know lots of artists and they all swear by it. I’m not into MAC myself and if you arn’t either, I’d check out falcon northwest or Alienware for top notch laptops.

I would like to get a laptop for design and it makes sense to have a good monitor to connect to for more intricate and colorful projects, but will it work? I understand a laptop is not great for design because of the display. Will the display be the same if connected to a good monitor?
