Do those computer laptop “locks” the one on a metal cord that stick into the back of the laptop really work?

Question by S T E B O R K O L A: Do those computer laptop “locks” the one on a metal cord that stick into the back of the laptop really work?
The end that sticks into the laptop is very small and I wondar if someone could just rip it off the lock? Any experience with these? What do you anchor the cord to?

Yes. You can just pull it out with force because the plastic with the lock would break easily therefore damaging the laptop.

Question by : why wont a compact laptop work wireless with my epson printer?
My husband has a compact laptop and he is trying to get it to print wireless.we have an epson nx series. We know it prints wireless because my laptop prints. He said he put it on network when he download the disc to his laptop

Best answer:

Answer by Denver Al
It depends. Is the printer hooked up to a wireless router on a network, or are you trying to print to it directly from the laptop?

If you’re setup with a wireless router, then you need to make sure to install the printer fully onto the new laptop and select the correct network IP address or Host Name of the printer for connection.

If you’re trying to connect to the printer as a wireless printer directly from the laptop, then you’re out of luck. Most all wireless printers can only support one network connection at a time, which is currently the original laptop.

For more assistance, I’d need to have more information.

Best of luck.

Will usb speakers work on my laptop when the laptop speaker and sound through headphones is not working?

Question by whats_my_name_again?: Will usb speakers work on my laptop when the laptop speaker and sound through headphones is not working?
I think I have blown my laptop speaker . I plugged in some old speakers into the headphone socket and they crackled a bit then died.Since then the inbuilt laptop speaker doesn’t work and can’t use headphone either as the socket stopped working at the same time.

Would speakers plugged in through usb work? as a cheap solution.

Best answer:

Answer by musicfreak97
Possibly. If its just the headphone jack that s faulty, it will work but if it is the laptop speakers, I’m not sure. As long as all the drivers are still installed, I think it should work.

Best laptops for music production and transcription work?

Question by Ladybug: Best laptops for music production and transcription work?
What is the best laptop for transcription and music production together? I am studying to be a medical transcription, and I am also working on my music. I can’t have a desktop, so does anyone know the best laptop for this? By this I mean one with a big enough hard drive. 500GB would be good. And also one that can handle the work load. Needs a good processor.

Any and all MagSafe chargers work. They all supply the same voltage. A charger for a MacBook Pro will charge the battery faster. The Air charger takes longer. I own a MacBook Pro, a polycarbonate MacBook, and a MacBook Air. I plug them into whatever charger is handy, and no problems ever.

The adapters come in 45 watt, 60 watt, and 85 watt. The higher the power, the heavier the adapter, and the faster it charges the battery pack. There was a straight-in MagSafe connector on early models, but Apple only sells the new one now, with slim fit for lower chance of accidental damage. Your eBay page shows an older style connector. Either connector fits older or newer computers. I do not recommend using a 45 watt power adapter for a 17″ MacBook Pro, as it needs a lot of power to play HD video or games on the big screen.
