Do those computer laptop “locks” the one on a metal cord that stick into the back of the laptop really work?

Question by S T E B O R K O L A: Do those computer laptop “locks” the one on a metal cord that stick into the back of the laptop really work?
The end that sticks into the laptop is very small and I wondar if someone could just rip it off the lock? Any experience with these? What do you anchor the cord to?

Best answer:

Yes. You can just pull it out with force because the plastic with the lock would break easily therefore damaging the laptop.

I have found it better too buy locally in case you need service you may pay a little more but worth not having too find and pay someone to repair it.

Q&A: Should schools give their students laptops to work on?

Question by : Should schools give their students laptops to work on?
I need some arguments for and against schools giving their students their own laptops for homework assignments and such. If anyone has an opinion I’d like to hear it.

Answer by mimi.94
yes; because then schools know that the student’s work is getting done. some schools that give students lap tops have certain web sites blocked, but i think yes!!!!
